Let’s chill: Orlando is off the top list of most stressed cities in the US

Despite being among the 100 most stressed cities in the US, according to a study done by the career-navigation website Zippia, fortunately Orlando is not at the top of the rankings: the city ranked 86th.

All in all, the survey analyzed 306 cities among the largest in the country, considering a minimum population of 100,000 people, according to an article in Orlando Business Journal.

The researchers evaluated aspects such as length of commute, unemployment levels, hours worked, population density, home price to income ratio, and percentage of people that’s uninsured.

First place is Miami – and Fort Lauderdale, also in Florida, closes the top 10 of the survey. Another nine cities in Florida appear in the ranking before Orlando, including Tampa,Coral Springs and Clearwater.

“The endless job search is paired with long commutes and crazy rent bills. No wonder people are spending weekends stressed versus relaxing.What’s the point of living in a massive, bustling city, if you are too stressed to enjoy it?”, the researchers said on the study’s official website.
