FOURTH OF JULY EVENTS AT ORLANDO THEME PARKS
Walt Disney World
Nighttime fireworks shows at three of Walt Disney World Resort’s theme parks will get Fourth of July makeovers in honor of the holiday. Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky will take place at 9 p.m. on July 3 and 4 at Magic Kingdom, an Independence Day edition of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is scheduled for 9 p.m. on July 4 at Epcot, and the patriotism extends to a galaxy far, far away for Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. All three are included with regular admission to their respective parks.
SeaWorld Orlando
Celebrate America’s birthday with one of Orlando’s most incredible fireworks displays at SeaWorld Orlando’s 4th of July Celebration. Consisting of a patriotic finale to the park’s regular end-of-day spectacle, Ignite, the event will light up the sky with fireworks, lasers, and pyrotechnics. It’s all included with regular park admission and can best be viewed at SeaWorld’s Bayside Stadium.
LEGOLAND Florida Resort
On July 4, LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s Red, White & Boom! event will culminate with a fireworks gala where special viewing glasses will make it appear as if giant LEGO bricks are exploding in the sky. The day’s festivities will also include a DJ dance party, a patriotic competition build, and the chance to help build an enormous LEGO U.S. flag. The festivities are included with regular park admission.
ICON Orlando
Formerly known as the Orlando Eye, ICON Orlando will commemorate the holiday with red, white and blue lighting. The famous, 400-foot-tall observation wheel is part of the ICON Orlando 360 entertainment and dining complex on International Drive.
Daytona International Speedway
The Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway, about an hour from downtown Orlando, has been an Independence Day weekend tradition for nearly five decades. Held on July 7, this year’s 160-lap, 400-mile event will feature all of the fast action fans have come to expect, followed by one of the Southeast’s largest fireworks shows. Admission prices vary.
