The Lake Nona Impact Forum is a forum set in Lake Nona and committed to unlocking innovation to create sustainable health communities and advance the quality of life by exploring the intersections of wellness, sustainable living, and education.
An invitation-only event, the Lake Nona Impact Forum convenes over 250 thought leaders. From business, academia, government and industry sectors they are driving creative, innovative health and wellness solutions. They move the needle on health care expenditures nationally and globally.
All events take place at Lake Nona Medical City, from February 28th to March 2nd. Registration information will be sent to the invited delegates with specific details regarding attendance, travel arrangements, agenda, and hotel accommodations
Committed to Inspiring Health Innovation, the Lake Nona Impact Forum creates an intimate experience for thoughtful and collaborative conversations that can lead to action.
Following the same lines of the Forum, this year Lake Nona Medical City will also house a three-day conference that’s likely to be the first of its kind. The Young Health Leader Summit’s inaugural meeting is set to have more than 60 attendees, most of whom have two things in common: they’re under 40 years of age and have an advanced degree in health-care administration. It’s a conference by millennials for millennials.
The team has stripped the conference from the typical professional, structured, forced-networking feel. They’ve done away with suits and ties. Instead of scheduling happy hours, they’ve designed the meeting to be one long, free-flowing networking event.
Everything will be set to be simple, without the conventionally multiple printouts of the program, or as they say in their agenda: “No awkward networking sessions. No weird paper pamphlets to carry around. No phony charity runs. All friends and new friends working together for a healthier future.”
The three-day conference will happen on the weekend of February 7th, 2018 and is broken down to LEARN, SHARE, DO.
It starts with tours of local venues including the WHIT model smart home in Lake Nona, and the Walmart Demo Store, which features some of the latest innovations in retail.
The second day is packed with sessions in the morning. And the afternoon sets up the third and final day of the conference, which is perhaps also its unique event.
The attendees are divided into teams. Each team is given a budget and charged with the task of doing the most good within 24 hours. All this happens in the Orlando area.
They will then return to Guidewell Innovation Center, which is hosting the conference, to report on what they did, why they did it and what impact their work could have. A panel of judges will then pick a winner.
