If Orlando International Airport is already the busiest in Florida and the 11th busiest in all US, the influx of people at the terminal increases even more during the Christmas season.
Between December 21 and January 8, the forecast is that 2.7 million passengers will pass through the airport – surpassing last year’s total by 6% and setting a new record.
Residents and tourists can expect a more pleasant structure on site. “We have finished our ticket counter renovations, completed Phase 1 of the checkpoint expansion projects and enhanced our wayfinding and signage – all of which are designed to make for a better holiday travel experience,” said Phil Brown, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority in an article in the Orlando Business Journal.
