Florida hopes to break record of tourists in state in 2018

During the third quarter of 2018, 30.7 million people visited Florida. The numbers, released by the tourism-marketing agency Visit Florida and Governor Rick Scott’s office, were the subject of an article in the Jacksonville Business Journal.

The numbers represent a 10.1% increase over the same period of 2017, keeping the Florida tourism industry strong and growing.

In all, there are already 95.8 million visitors in the first nine months of 2018, up from 89.8 million during that timeframe in 2017. This year is expected to surpass the record of 2017, when the state had a record of 118.8 million tourists.
