After placing third and becoming the first Brazilian to climb the podium in the TC category, Celso Neto faces another challenge in TC America, this weekend (September 23-25 – Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at Sebring in Florida. The goal is to repeat the good results and preferably with another podium finish.
About the track, Sebring is a great challenge because of the many undulations in the asphalt. An old airport base is now a raceway and has most of the track in concrete.
Celso only knows it through a simulator. “Although I live in Florida I never had the opportunity to race at Sebring, I only did a shake down before starting at Watkins Glen. It’s more of a traditional circuit, a 6-kilometer track, very fast and technical, but we are prepared and eager to repeat a positive result for the team,” said the driver.
Sebring is the penultimate round of the season. The last round will be on October 7 and 8, in Indianapolis – Indiana/USA. This is Celso Neto’s first season at TC America. He joined in the middle of the season, when he was hired by the VGRT/Honda HPD team to drive the #8 Honda Civic Type R TC car. Be sure to watch the live stream action on the GT World YouTube Channel.
Celso Neto is sponsored by AMED S/A, Oeste Cotton, Dipromed, LS Inter Bank, and Supermed. Supported by RGE, Sicoob Credpit, and Lavoi.
