The AMED/Brandão Motorsports team celebrates the team’s debut in the Stock Car Series (formerly Light) category.
The 17-year-old driver scored his first 15 points, debuting in the category as the best rookie. Behind him came the gaucho Guilherme Backes, also a novice.
In the race on Sunday, Celso Neto was hit at the start and fell to the last, at the restart after the safety car he jumped to 6th and soon after had problems with the gearbox that ended his race. Even so, he showed a lot of speed.
The next race will be in Rio de Janeiro, GP Galeão, an unprecedented event for Brazilian motorsport with a race on the world famous Galeão Airport.
The team will not participate in all races, using the season only and exclusively for the adaptation of the young driver in the series.
