Lake Nona appeared in a recent front-page article in The Wall Street Journal’s real estate section, Mansion because of its project on wellness real estate.
The article focused on prime examples of wellness real estate throughout the United States. As one of only a few communities highlighted, Lake Nona’s many wellbeing initiatives and programs were touted, including Yoga Nona – with free weekly yoga at Crescent Park.
The Journal also highlighted Lake Nona’s community guided meditation event that was led by Deepak Chopra on 2017, and previewed the upcoming launch of Dr. Chopra’s wellbeing app, Jiyo, designed for Lake Nona residents.
The innovative and impactful Lake Nona Life Project initiative, which tracks health and wellness, was also featured.
Two Lake Nona homes, one in Laureate Park and the other in Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, were included as examples of wellbeing real estate. Each Lake Nona home has unique features to promote wellbeing.
The Foote family in Laureate Park repurposed their sunroom for a meditation space. Also, Natalia is a yoga instructor for the weekly classes at Laureate Park.
The Merle family customized their Lake Nona Golf & Country Club residence to include a peaceful meditation garden with a reflecting pool.
