Emily Blunt and John Krasinski to sell BK townhouse for $8M

They only bought the place in December 2015 for $6 million, so they haven’t owned it long, but comparing the listing photos before and after, it does seem like they poured a lot of money into renovating the place.(Photo credit: Evan Joseph)
According to the listing, with Karen Talbott and Kyle Talbott of Corcoran, the home was built in 1909, and Blunt and Krasinski were careful to preserve the home’s original details during their renovation.
That meant keeping the stained glass windows, built-in glass cabinets, inlaid floors as well as the paneling and moldings.
Though they also added some nice touches like radiant floors and custom shades.
The 5,200-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and three full bathrooms.

Krasinski told the Journal that the couple decided to move because they aren’t spending enough time in the house.
“We’ve been nomads for a while now, but that’s the nature of the business,” he said.
“The house is so special—someone who can spend every night there should have it.” [WSJ]
