Lake Nona Lowe’s store to open soon, jobs available

Lake Nona-area DIY’ers will soon be able to flock to the area’s newest home improvement store that will open next month.

The 158,000-square-foot Lowe’s home improvement store with an indoor lumber yard and garden center will host its grand opening on Dec. 21 in the Lake Nona Landing shopping center on Narcoossee Road, according to the store’s Facebook page.

This is the third — and final — anchor tenant in the $100 million retail complex near State Road 417, which already features a high-tech Walmart Supercenterand Sam’s Club, as well as several other new shops and eateries.

The project by Lake Nona developer Tavistock Development Co. LLC brings a huge, much-needed shopping and dining element to the area.

The new Lowe’s also is hiring for multiple positions, including

 

Lead receiver/stocker:

Responsibilities include processing, verification and distribution of received merchandise shipments.

This individual must supervise the receiving, stocking and organizing of merchandise in accordance to company procedures.

It requires late evening, nighttime and early morning availability. Applicant must have a minimum of six months experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking, preferably from Lowe’s

Chilis

 

Product service associate:

Will be moving beams and grids, rotating stock, building products and displaying products/product support materials.

The individual is responsible for ensuring resets completed by outside vendors are properly stocked and priced, and damaged products are identified and processed.

The position requires morning, afternoon and evening availability and traveling weekly between stores.

 

Head cashier:

Manage all checkout functions by processing sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts, and maintaining checkout area.

The head cashier oversees coverage of registers and store supply usage and performs opening procedures.

It requires morning, afternoon and evening availability.

Applicant must have six months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying or outputting information and using a hand-held device.

 

Sales floor associates:

Available positions in lawn-and-garden, lumber and hardware departments.

Responsible for assisting customers and loading merchandise.

Applicant must have six months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying or outputting information and using a hand-held device.
