Jobs and development are Orlando’s attractions for entrepreneurs

If you want to start a business, Orlando can be a great starting point. The city is in the TOP 10 of The Surge Cities Index, a ranking that Inc. Magazine makes with the innovation company Startup Genome.

There are several criteria used to analyze cities, such as job creation and entrepreneurship potential, as shown in this Orlando Business Journal article.

The Surge Cities Index

The city is first in terms of job generation and second when the population growth rate is analyzed. Austin, Texas, is the first in this regard.

In the overall list, Austin ranked first, followed by Salt Lake City, Raleigh, Nashville and San Francisco. Orlando is ninth placed.

Orlando was the highest-ranked Florida city on the list. Miami was in 13th place, Jacksonville finished at No. 14, and Tampa ranked No. 24.
